Jordan 4 Retro "Net Rattan" (Women's)
 

One of the strangest variations ever created of an Air Jordan Retro is undoubtedly this women's-only release of the AJ4. Featuring a plastic mesh upper instead of the standard lacing system, the Air Jordan 4 Net generated one of the strongest reactions in recent memory.

The design is an abstract reinterpretation of the classic plastic mesh found in the midfoot of the Air Jordan 4. Jordan Brand took it a step further, expanding the mesh into a larger structure that wraps around the entire midfoot and completely replaces the traditional lacing system. Above this structure are laces that only secure the forefoot and top eyelets that serve no practical purpose.

This new “Rattan” version is the third colorway in the Air Jordan 4 Net family. Featuring a monochromatic design in this light brown hue, Jordan Brand covers the entire shoe in the Rattan color, matching the metallic gold embellishments and accessories that adorn the upper.
